collage

first week of classes has passed! 

i have three art studio classes and i just did my first homework assignment. (that sounds silly to me, don't know why.)

alright, we had to make a collage and, thing is, i'm terrible at collages. i always have been. my little third grade self always had the most pathetic collages in the class. and i'm sure that'll transfer over. 

i made a horribe mess in my room and was in such a rush to finish up that it looks...blotchy. 

point is, i'm not happy with it, but it's something i've worked on this week and i've been neglecting the blog. :(

i found an old, unused sketchbook recently. so, now i've got three sketchbooks. hmmm.

i've decided one to have more of my doodles than my, for a lack of a better word, 'try-hard' work. haha.

and i went crazy in it today.

you see, i couldn't sleep. i've found out that when i'm the sleepiest, i draw like a madman.

i have still been drawing though. not as much as i'd like to, to be honest.

which is extremely intimidating considering classes haven't even started! i'll try to do a more serious, time-attributed piece soon.  :)

i'm so geeky in the sense that i get excited for new semester classes. 

initially, i had no chance of getting the algebra class i wanted. BUT thanks to the students who forgot to pay for their classes before the deadline, i've got a spot in the class! 

downsides of this upcoming semester include:

1. a huge, intimidating dent in my college fund.
2. scheduling that is just about impossible.
3. leaves me less time to update the blog.

it's rather nerve-racking, but exciting nonetheless.  i will be taking on five classes. dun dun dun!

i drew a lot today. you know when you just get those bursts of energy and your hand just wants to keep going? yeah, me neither. i guess the lack of employment really frees up time for me. i want to keep up with the pace of drawing something everyday. which is why i just bought a book with creative exercises to keep me going.

it sounds extremely interesting and i can't wait to get my hands on it.

terrible news. i quit my job. great pay, but i had to drive thirteen miles out of my city to get there. oh well, life goes on. hopefully i can add a bit more color into my work. i've always sucked at that. i wanted to be sure i got something in today... fourteen minutes until midnight, so i'm still clear for the day.

okay, so more terrible news. as i was clicking to add a photo to this post i got an ugly white screen with the words 'error 404' or something like that. and then i couldn't get into the website at all. so, i'm evidently not clear for the day. here's the drawing i was going to submit yesterday.

i got a job

so, i've got a new job. i start tomorrow at eight in the morning and i'm not sleepy. oh well, i'll adjust soon enough. i'm optimistically hoping this won't be a very demanding job and i'll be able to draw in between whatever it is i'll be doing. it's an office assistant job at a trucking company. new territory. anyways, here's my drawing for the day.
