sunburn

don't you hate when you scratch your skin, momentarily forgetting you're sunburned? yeah, i'm not a fan.

san antonio was fun. i had no idea the zoo was as big as it is. we walked through it all day and still only got to see about 3/4 of the whole thing. i was able to sketch a few things. here's a page from the day:

sketching animals at the zoo was another assignment from carla sonheim's 'drawing lab'. i'm having a lot of fun with this book. there's nothing stressing about it and i'm less critical of my results. :)

an assignment i had done before this was some blind contour giraffes! now, if you don't know what blind contour is...its real simple. its just drawing with a continuos line without looking at your paper.

 i was supposed to try this out with other animals as well, but i forgot. :( i'll probably get to it another time.
these next ones were done just for the fun of it...while listening to the doors. ah, jim morrison.
